Oregon Trail Stimulation Game? HELP!!?
I remember this game I played in 5th grade, it was an Oregon Trail game you could play online only if you had the software to it, and I'm wondering if I could find the link to download it and play it online! I really love that game! It was fun! First, you click on new game then pops up a journal and you have to select some stuff, like the name of the journal keeper, then if you're a (something I forget), adventurer, or trail guide. Then what year you are heading out to settle, then what you actually were before you came out to settle, (ex: banker, tailor, artist, etc.). Then you had to choose your wagon, then choose how many people will accompany you, then you click on "Travel The Trail!" and then it shows you some cities with people in them. You can click on them to talk with them, then you can also go to other parts of the city, and to leave the city you need to buy some draft animals from "Henderson's Stables" so you can leave the city on your wagon. PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE NAME OF THE GAME IS!! I REALLY LIKE IT!! THANK YOU!!

I tend to think +$30 billion sent to Detroit is just good money after bad. In effect, the tax payers are covering UAW comp and health benefits, subsidizing some of the worst vehicles in the market, and giving our blessing to some of the worst management teams in the world. -------------------- Has anyone else looked at GM's proxy? '...the Board of Directors encourages Messrs. Wagoner, Henderson, and Lutz to use corporate aircraft for personal as well as business travel.' Are you kidding me? No way they get any money as far as I am concerned as when you look at the truth it is being mismanaged all the way around. They need to go bk so they can disband the UAW and get on with making GOOD AUTOS once again instead of the trash they put out now

It's simple. Bailing out the Big 3 is not really for the Big 3, it's for the workers who work there. Saving the pensions and retirement funds of all those regular people is not what the the government is for. Government is there only to bail out big financial corporations and multi millionaires. Do you know how many multi millionaires work on the Big 3 assembly lines? Why would we use government coffers to give money away to regular people? According to some, those who work 30 years and put their hard earned cash into a pension fund don't deserve to collect when they retire. It's more reasonable to declare bankruptsy and dissolve the pension fund so the money can be used to make them more competetive. Now move along and pay your taxes so the uber rich can collect their fair share in subsidies, contracts, and bailouts. Keep asking questions like this and you're liable to get a visit from your local IRS agent or Dept. of Homeland Security.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the only way to flat out cancel the union contracts and start over is via bankruptcy court order. I've read that it costs an average of $73 an hour to employ a union auto worker. You can do the math on that per year, per employee. On the other hand, the non-union workers that build Japanese cars in the US cost an average of $43 an hour. Based on that, if true, it doesn't matter how much money the government throws at the Big-3 - they cannot manufacture a quality product that is affordable. They can manufacture a poor-quality product that drives everyone into the arms of the Japanese auto makers. I vote no. Let them compete

This has realized my worst fears! The FSM has been turned loose and is now a world threat. In preparation against his attempted world take over I have barricaded myself in a concrete bunker with tons of guns and ammo (and lots of tins of baked beans) as I consider him an unworthy infidel who will finally be overthrown at the great battle of Rhubarb Valley.

You really don't need to worry about FSM, he's not a jerk like YHWH/Allah. Nowhere in the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is it written that "thou shalt" or "shalt not" do anything; they read "I'd really rather you didn't" because they're guidelines, not commandments. About Sattellite Service Plan

Sattellite Service Plan?
I just ordered an Asus EEE pc, for mobility, but then i realized, my school, and my public library, and my office, dont have wifi, and i dont have any spare modem ports for ethernet. So i would like to get a satellite adapter, that can plug in via USB, and be compatible with Linux, and have a low monthly fee, for a fast/reliable connection. I understand Verizon and Att have these, but i would like to know if anyone has any experience with them personally, and if anyone knows of any other adapters. Im looking for one thats less that 30 a month, and has fast connections, with service, wherever i am (I live in Vegas/Henderson NV) Im constantly traveling to Chicago as well, so a nationwide coverage plan would be fantastic. Anyone know of any? Help me out thanks

Don't know about Linux, but I use Windows XP and have a Treo 700p from Verizon. My service plan is $80 a month for 450 minutes of voice and unlimited Internet access using EVDO (which gets about 500+kbps download). The coverage is good in all major cities and next to major roads. I run a software called PDAnet (http://www.junefabrics.com/palmnet/) on my Treo and connected to USB to PC. By using this software, you can avoid the extra service charge from Verizon for using your cellphone as a modem. The plus side of having a smartphone is that you can surf the net on the phone and get email, when connecting a laptop PC is not convenient. The other way is to have a USB modem EVDO device for $40 a month. Either way the cost for Internet access is the same

Asking on Travel as locals also post comments here to out of towners. I will be purchasing a house in either LV or Henderson soon. Can anyone recommend a good home inspection company? I would be very appreciative of your comments and experience. Also if you suggest a stay away company, want to know that one as well. Thanks for your time.

I haven't had the need to use an inspector but it is a wise move. If I were you, I'd talk to people I know and see who they have used and their comments may give you a better sense than just reading them here. I believe that inspectors need to be licensed, make sure the one you pick has a permit to do that type of work. Also, interview them. Ask what they are going to look at and what they will tell you in their report.

Realtors are normally the best bet in finding a home inspector. Ask your Realtor, they will not lead you wrong on that one. They will be protected as you will by having a good inspector check out the home you want to purchase
