If Babe Ruth played in todays era, Would he have tried Steroids (Read On)?
Ruth was known as the ultimate competito, one who would do anything to gain an advantage. Such as a corked bat From Bill Jame's "Baseball Historical Baseball Abstract" in 1983 a travelling Hillerich and Bradsby exhibit featured a Babe Ruth bat. According to Dan Gutman in In Ain't Cheatin' If you Don't Get Caught, the Seattle players were admiring the bat "when Dave Henderson noticed that the round end of the bat didn't exactly match the wood of the barrel. The end was cracked, but the rest of the bat was not. " 'That's a plug!' said Henderson. 'This bat is corked'" ... As I see it nothing could be more typical of Ruth than to use a corked bat if he could get by with it. Ruth tested the limits of the rules constantly; this is what made him who he was." Well never know. I mean, I'm sure most would like to be able to say he wouldn't, but then again how could we ever know.

the bat was not Ruth's bat. his were canadian made. h b had babe ruth autograph model. in new york, steroids . hot dog and beer diet. no reliable tests. i think he would have. unfourtantly we will never have any evidence. he always will be the greatest baseball player ever.

If he played today he would be so out of shape all he would have is the long ball he constantly smoked cigars and drank beer so he obviously would give a rats ass about his health.
